MEET THE FOUNDERS

HI, We’re ashley
& jill

Together we’ve been a lot of things: sorority sisters, co-workers, long-distance friends, even a wedding officiant.

And now, we’re the co-founders of Labour the App.

The cornerstone of our 18+ year friendship has been walking together - whether over lunch as colleagues, Sunday mornings on the lakefront path in Chicago, or on the phone every Friday morning - we are walking and we are talking. And it was on one of these walks where Labour the App was born.

When Jill and her husband wanted to expand their family, Jill realized there were a lot of resources for her, and not many for her husband. In a partnership where they shared the household labor, Jill realized that so much of the work involved in getting pregnant falls on one person, even though getting pregnant is a two-person job (at least!).

Labour the App is an inclusive experience designed for couples to upend the expectation that one person does the labor - so you both share the effort and excitement of having a baby.

We’re happy you’re here.

- Ashley & Jill
